The 11th Republican Traditional Song Contest named after Bukhar Zhyrau was held in Karaganda. More than 80 young performers from 20 regions took part in the competition.
The grand prize was won by Zhasulan Myrzabek from Almaty Region. He performed Segiz Seri's song "Karataudyn basynan kosh keledi".
The winner received 5 million tenge and a ticket to an international festival in Paris. A total of 18 awards were distributed at the contest.
