Forty years after the Chernobyl disaster, the radiation danger in the region has not disappeared. Currently, the area is also facing military threats, reports Todayinfo.

According to Al Jazeera journalist Nils Adler, radiation levels in the Chernobyl zone remain high. Abandoned cities and returning wildlife shape the unique landscape of the region. Additionally, military risks are intensifying nuclear safety concerns.

“The Chernobyl zone has become a crossroads of nuclear danger and military threats. This raises important questions about the future,” says Nils Adler.
