Trump stated in an interview with Axios that he would make this decision by May 24. He also added that tonight he would discuss Iran's latest proposal with his negotiators Whitkoff and Kushner, as well as with Vice President Vance.
Donald Trump assessed the possibility of reaching a "good deal" with Iran as "approximately 50/50." According to him, if an agreement is not reached, the US is ready "to crush them."
Trump emphasized that Washington would only agree to a deal covering key issues. These include the issue of uranium enrichment and the fate of Iran's accumulated uranium stockpiles.
At the same time, according to sources, such complex issues may not be fully agreed upon in the letter of intent currently being discussed. According to the preliminary plan, the war will first be stopped, and then detailed negotiations between the US and Iran will be held for another 30 days.
