The trial of the married bloggers Yerbolat Zhanabilov and Elmira Tolegenova concluded yesterday. After the verdict was announced, the bloggers expressed gratitude to the court, the prosecutor's office, and the people of Kazakhstan, reports Todayinfo.kz news agency.
The video was published by their lawyer, Gaukhar Aitzhanova. She stated that "the trial has finally ended."
The bloggers said they understood their mistakes and urged others not to repeat such actions.
"We want to thank the court and the prosecutor's office for the decision made. We also express our gratitude to all our compatriots who did not remain indifferent, offered support, and showed us their attention and affection. Our relatives read your wishes and passed them on to us. Even Gaukhar Altynbekkyzy constantly said, 'Everyone is supporting you.' We understood our mistake. Do not repeat this. Therefore, we sincerely thank you all," said Elmira Tolegenova in her address to the people of Kazakhstan.
Yerbolat Zhanabilov also thanked everyone who offered support.
"Many thanks to all the readers and those who supported us," said the blogger.
