Kazakhstani sentenced in Dubai: given life imprisonment
A Dubai court sentenced a Kazakhstani citizen to life imprisonment, reports Todayinfo.kz. According to the Kazakh MFA, on March 18, a Dubai court of first instance found Yernur Almakhan guilty of several serious crimes.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on March 18, a court of first instance in Dubai, UAE, found Kazakhstani citizen Yernur Almakhan guilty of several serious crimes and sentenced him to life imprisonment and a fine.
According to the agency, the convicted person has filed an appeal. Therefore, the court verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
The Embassy of Kazakhstan sent an official inquiry to the competent authorities of the UAE. In a statement by the MFA on April 21, it was said that a response is currently awaited.
In addition, according to the ministry, the Consulate General of Kazakhstan in Dubai is providing necessary consular and legal assistance within its competence. The issue is under the control of the agency.
According to open sources, Yernur Almakhan went to the UAE in 2024 for employment purposes.
