A gondola carrying children fell from a carousel in Astana's central park, reports Todayinfo.
A local resident shared the incident on social media. According to her, the gondola with her two daughters detached after several rotations. The ride was immediately stopped.
Park management stated this was the first such case, caused by a foreign object entering the mechanism. The head of the company managing the central park commented: 'This is a one-in-a-million case. It won't happen again; we have found a complete technical solution.'
The ride was small, and no serious injuries occurred. It remains closed pending a re-inspection.
Earlier, Senator Nuriya Niyazova proposed stricter regulations for amusement rides, including safety rules, a digital registry, professional standards, and increased liability for violations.
