An initiative to introduce new, distinctively colored state license plates for electric vehicles has received support in Kazakhstan, reports Todayinfo.
This was announced by Sanjar Adilov, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, at a Majilis meeting. He noted that this issue is highly relevant.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs fully supports this initiative. Changing the color of state license plates for electric vehicles is a widely adopted global practice; they are usually painted green. This issue has been thoroughly worked out," Adilov said.
According to him, after the law is adopted, relevant regulatory acts will be developed and approved. Subsequently, the new license plates will be introduced nationwide.
