In the city of Semey, servicemen of military unit 5511 of the National Guard were awarded for their special vigilance and courageous actions that prevented a dangerous situation involving a minor child, reports Todayinfo news agency.

According to the National Guard, on April 8, during a patrol duty along Auezov Avenue, a military detail noticed a child left unattended by adults in an open window on the third floor of a residential building. Assessing the degree of danger, the servicemen took a position under the window and were ready to act immediately.

Until the arrival of parents and police officers, the patrol ensured the child's safety. Thanks to the professionalism and coordinated actions of the guardsmen, a potential tragedy was averted.

“We acted quickly, realizing that time was counting in seconds. The main task was to prevent a tragedy. Such an assessment of our service is a great honor and pride for me,” said Corporal Beksultan Temirbekov.

For their heroism, the head of the military detail, Corporal Daulet Seidaly, patrol Corporal Beksultan Temirbekov, and Private Ali Sagymbaev were awarded letters of gratitude from the Emergency Situations Department of the Abai Region. In addition, Corporal Daulet Seidaly was awarded the badge “For the Protection of Public Order” on behalf of the commander of the “East” regional command. Corporal Beksultan Temirbekov and Private Ali Sagymbaev received a ten-day short-term leave by decision of the unit commander. The servicemen were also presented with wristwatches.
