According to RBC, Iran has submitted a 14-point roadmap for settlement to the United States through Pakistani intermediaries, reports Todayinfo.
Iran's peace plan includes the following provisions:
- resolution of key issues within 30 days;
- emphasis on ending the war instead of extending the truce;
- issues of non-aggression guarantees;
- withdrawal of American military forces from border areas, lifting of the naval blockade;
- unfreezing of Iranian assets, payment of compensation, cancellation of sanctions;
- cessation of hostilities in all directions, including Lebanon;
- proposals for a mechanism to regulate the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
Donald Trump expressed skepticism that Iran's peace plan would be acceptable.
