Iran Responds to US Peace Offer: Trump Calls Reply 'Completely Unacceptable'

Tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate: Iran has responded to US proposals for ending the war, but US President Donald Trump has called this response 'completely unacceptable', reports Todayinfo.

US President Donald Trump rejected Iran's response to the American peace plan. Trump's swift reaction led to a sharp increase in oil prices.

Days after the US put forward a proposal hoping to resume negotiations, Iran published its response on Sunday, focusing on ending the war, including in Lebanon.

According to Iranian state television, Tehran is again demanding compensation for war damages and insists on Iran's sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz. The Tasnim agency reported that Iran also called on the US to end the naval blockade, guarantee no further attacks, lift sanctions, and revoke the ban on Iranian oil sales.

Earlier, Pakistan's Prime Minister, acting as a mediator between the US and Iran, confirmed receiving Tehran's plan. The US has not officially published its proposals, but according to media reports, it is a 14-point memorandum that could open the way for negotiations on Iran's nuclear program.

On Sunday, Trump wrote on Truth Social that he had read the response, which he said came from "so-called representatives of Iran."

"I didn't like it. COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!" — stated the US President.
He did not specify the essence of the American plan or the exact nature of Iran's response.

Oil prices jumped by $3 per barrel on Monday following news that the conflict remains unresolved.
