Kazakhstan's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 3.6% in the first four months of 2026, reports Todayinfo.

According to preliminary data from the Bureau of National Statistics, Kazakhstan's GDP growth in January-April 2026 reached 3.6% compared to the same period last year. This was announced by the press service of the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan on May 12.

Compared to the results of the first quarter, the dynamics of economic growth significantly improved (GDP growth for January-March 2026 was 3%).

Industrial production entered positive territory by the end of the four months, with the physical volume index reaching 102.1%, whereas a decline to 99.9% was recorded at the end of the first quarter.

A key factor in the recovery of industry was the acceleration of the manufacturing sector, where production volume increased by 9.9% compared to 8.5% in January.
