– In March, a new Constitution of Kazakhstan was adopted. This is, first of all, a very important and historic step for the future of the country. Our citizens, especially young people, understand this well. They actively participated in the republican referendum, supported and voted for the Basic Law. Our people demonstrated a model of responsibility and patriotism as a single society. The new Constitution reflects the unique essence of our people, its main values and high goals. Today, young, educated, qualified, intellectual citizens are present at this meeting. I consider you the bright future of Kazakhstan, – said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The Head of State expressed confidence that progressive youth will lead the country to high peaks and increase the prestige of the nation.
– The People's Constitution is a guiding star for the younger generation. The new Basic Law is an unshakable pillar of a Just Kazakhstan. The principle of law and order has become the core of our state, the basis of national consciousness. The concept of "Clean Kazakhstan" has strengthened the care of our people for their native land and pristine nature. There are more truly caring citizens in the country who consider socially significant work not a duty but a sacred duty. We call them volunteers. All these values are specifically written in the preamble of the People's Constitution. The main wealth of the state is the person. Therefore, the development of human capital is defined as a constitutional task. The main document clearly states that the country prioritizes science, education and innovation, – said the President.
The Head of State announced that another important international competition, the Astana AI Film Festival, will be organized in Kazakhstan in autumn.
– This will be the first global event reflecting fundamental changes in the development of the creative industry. Artificial intelligence brings a radical turn to the creative nature, opens new forms of self-expression and reduces barriers for talents. Kazakhstan strives to be at the center of these global innovations. At the same time, it is necessary to take into account pessimistic forecasts that under the influence of artificial intelligence, the creative industry will disappear and will not be preserved in its current form. Therefore, it is important to monitor all trends and adapt to changes in a timely manner. Organizing the festival is very important for presenting Kazakhstan as one of the centers of innovation and creative initiatives on the international arena, – said the President.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that the process of digitalization and mass introduction of artificial intelligence opens the way to large-scale changes.
– Therefore, we pay special attention to increasing the potential of citizens, teaching them digital skills. Today, more than 650 thousand students are studying under the Al Sana program. In the future, we must train another 100 thousand specialists in the field of artificial intelligence and deeptech technologies. This year, a new model technological university – the University of Artificial Intelligence – will open in the country. This will be an important event for science. Now we face an urgent task: we must pay special attention to training qualified personnel in this area. It is necessary to attract talented youth and give them quality education. It is also extremely important to support promising technological projects and companies. The result of such systematic work will undoubtedly be beneficial for our country, – said the Head of State.
