Today, the foundation stone for a sanitary-technical equipment plant by the world-renowned Spanish company "Roca Group" was laid in Kyzylorda, reports Todayinfo.
The ceremony was attended by the Akim of the region, Murat Nalkozhauly, the CEO of "Roca Group" Daniel Jurado Hernandez, the Trade and Economic Counselor of the Spanish Embassy, Jesus Vidal Borrella, first heads of law enforcement agencies, directors of construction companies, representatives of the intelligentsia, and elders.
"Roca Group" is one of the world leaders in the production of sanitary equipment with a history of over a hundred years. The company manages 78 production sites worldwide, employing over 20,000 people. Its products are exported to more than 170 countries.
During the ceremony, the Akim of the region highlighted President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's instructions on attracting investments and developing modern production, noting that a favorable investment climate has been established in the region.
"The Head of State noted that 'new investments should primarily be aimed at forming the basis of modern industry in our country.' In recent years, the investment potential of our region has grown, and large projects are being successfully implemented. Over 2.3 trillion tenge in investments have been attracted to the regional economy. In the next three years, 48 investment projects totaling 1.9 trillion tenge are planned for implementation. As a result, more than 10,000 new jobs will be created. Today, we are witnessing the capsule-laying ceremony for a high-tech production facility, which is important for our country. I express my gratitude to the Spanish company 'Roca Group' for implementing such a large-scale project in the Syr Darya region. This initiative will give a new impetus to the regional economy, increase export potential, and create new job opportunities. We are always ready for open and trusting cooperation and fruitful work with domestic and foreign investors," said Murat Nalkozhauly.
At the meeting, the regional prosecutor Rizabek Ozharov and the CEO of "Roca Group" Daniel Jurado Hernandez delivered speeches, and elder Ibragim Abibullayev gave his blessing.
The project is being implemented with the support of "KAZAKH INVEST" NC" JSC. The agreement to build the "Roca Group" plant in the Kyzylorda region was reached during the period when Nurlybek Naliyev headed the region, and relevant documents were signed at the government level.
This is the first production facility in Kazakhstan for sanitary-technical products that complies with international environmental safety standards.
A 24-hectare land plot has been allocated for the plant, with an investment of 44.1 billion tenge. The annual production capacity will reach up to 500,000 items. The manufactured products will be supplied to Kazakhstan's domestic market and exported to Central Asian countries.
Furthermore, approximately 300 permanent jobs will be created, and training and skill development for local specialists are envisioned. The company plans to launch the production of mixers and installation systems by the end of the year. Showrooms presenting the company's products will open in Astana and Almaty in June.
