On April 29, after the UAE announced its withdrawal from OPEC and OPEC+, foreign experts suggested that Kazakhstan might soon leave the agreement on oil production control, reports Todayinfo.
Earlier, the UAE declared its exit from OPEC and OPEC+. This decision sparked widespread discussion in the market and among analysts. Experts warned that such a precedent could prompt other countries to reconsider their participation. Iraq and Kazakhstan were named as the first candidates due to conflicts between domestic production goals and OPEC+ commitments.
Kazakhstan's Ministry of Energy denied the rumors of withdrawal and stated that the country will continue to participate in the agreement. "As of today, the issue of changing the format of the country's participation in the agreement is not on the agenda," the ministry's press service reported.
