Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov criticized the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, reports Todayinfo. During a government meeting, Bektenov assessed the ministry's activities, noting the lack of tangible results.
"There are no tangible results. The tasks set before the ministry are not being fully implemented, which hinders the improvement of the environmental situation," — stated the Prime Minister.
Olzhas Bektenov issued a series of specific instructions to the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, Yerlan Nysanbayev, and his deputy Nalibayev. Specifically, he demanded increased focus on improving the waste management system, efficient use of water resources, and protection of forest areas.
The head of government mandated the ministry to present a concrete action plan within the shortest possible timeframe and to regularly report on its implementation. These measures are aimed at improving the environmental situation in the country.
