In Kyzylorda, the Republican Contest of Zhyrshy-Termeshi Concludes: Harmony of Poetry and Justice
In Kyzylorda, initiated by the department of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Kyzylorda region, within the framework of the 'Law and Order' principle, a republican contest of zhyrshy-termeshi on the theme 'Just Law – Just Society' was held. The large-scale cultural event was organized jointly with the akimat of Kyzylorda region and the Kyzylorda regional branch of the AMANAT party. The republican contest was hosted by the improvisational poet, three-time winner of 'Altyn dombyra' and holder of the 'Kurmet' order, Mukhtar Niyazov. The main goal of the contest is to glorify national art, develop the traditional culture of zhyr-terme, and widely promote the values of justice, law, and order in society. Ten performers from Astana, Shymkent, Pavlodar region, Karaganda region, Aktobe region, and Kyzylorda region participated in the creative competition, competing in two stages. In the first stage, participants presented new works based on the 'Law and Order' principle, and in the second stage, they performed the best works from their repertoire. The jury evaluated performing skills, mastery of melody, preservation of traditional school features, and the ability to reveal the content of the work, determining the winners. According to the results of the contest, the grand prize went to Yerlan Ryskali. First place was taken by Didar Kamiyev from Karaganda, second place was awarded to Marat Sugirbay. Third place was shared by Gabit Shyrynbek (Shymkent) and Zhibek Boken (Pavlodar region). All other participants were awarded cash prizes. At the opening of the event, the first deputy akim of the region, Daniyar Zhanalinov, spoke and wished the participants success. At the award ceremony, the head of the department of the Committee on Legal Statistics and Special Records of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Kyzylorda region, Askhat Abildayev, member of the Union of Writers and Union of Journalists of Kazakhstan, chairman of the jury Shakizada Abdikarimov, and chairman of the Kyzylorda regional branch of the AMANAT party, Zhandos Bazartay, congratulated the participants and emphasized the importance of the contest.
'This contest has become an important spiritual platform that not only popularized the tradition of zhyr-terme but also widely promoted the principles of law and order. Every work performed at the competition is a golden bridge connecting the past and the present, a priceless heritage conveying the voice of the national spirit. This spiritual evening, held on the land of Syr, intertwined poetry and justice, leaving a deep impression on the hearts of the audience,' he said.
