The strengthening of the Russian ruble has become a significant topic for Kazakhstan's economy, reports Todayinfo. Experts are analyzing the main reasons behind the ruble's stability and its impact on the tenge.

In recent months, the Russian ruble has significantly strengthened in the global market. This is primarily attributed to rising oil prices, the strict monetary policy of the Central Bank of Russia, and the capital movement restrictions that have been imposed.

For Kazakhstan, the ruble's appreciation brings several economic consequences. Firstly, the competitiveness of Kazakh goods in trade relations with Russia may decline. Secondly, imports from Russia could become cheaper, potentially putting pressure on domestic production.

Financial analysts express concern about the tenge's exchange rate fluctuations against the ruble. Some experts do not rule out the risk of devaluation in Kazakhstan, given the close economic ties between the two countries.

"The National Bank is taking necessary measures to ensure the stability of the tenge. However, we must be prepared for changes caused by external factors," stated economist Aidos Kassymov.

Nevertheless, the Government of Kazakhstan and the National Bank have stated that they are actively working to maintain the country's financial stability. According to them, the current situation is under control, and a sharp depreciation of the tenge will not be allowed.
