Kazakhstani chess player Zhansaya Abdumalik stated that she is ready to go to court if the conflict with three-time world blitz champion Bibisara Assaubayeva recurs. She openly said this in an interview with the Zamandas YouTube channel, reports Todayinfo.kz. According to Abdumalik, during previous conflicts she kept a lot to herself, but now she does not intend to remain silent. If false information about her is spread again, she has decided to respond legally.

"At that time, much was left unsaid. Actually, I have enough words and evidence. But if such a situation repeats, I am ready — I have lawyers, we will immediately go to court. Because this is not just an opinion, but real slander. It is hard to call it otherwise. Sometimes it even looks funny, creates an impression of some kind of addiction. Although I have been away from chess for three years, this topic still comes up," she said.

The roots of the confrontation between the two chess players go back to the 2021 FIDE World Cup. In that tournament, Assaubayeva prevailed in a tie-break, and the first spark of tension appeared. However, the open conflict began in 2022. At that time, Assaubayeva made a controversial statement regarding the federation leadership, raising the topic of "three billion." Abdumalik immediately denied these accusations, stating that they were not true. In 2023, at the FIDE Grand Prix stage in New Delhi, the situation escalated again. After Abdumalik withdrew from the tournament due to dissatisfaction with the organization, Assaubayeva criticized her for "egoism." After that, the dispute between the two athletes turned into a prolonged confrontation in the media space. Now this topic has temporarily subsided, but Abdumalik made it clear that if accusations recur in the future, she intends to resolve the issue in the legal field.
