On April 26, 2026, during the White House Correspondents' Dinner, an armed man broke into the foyer, opened fire, and Donald Trump and senior officials were evacuated. The suspect was arrested and identified as 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced charges.
In July 2024, Trump was shot at a rally in Pennsylvania. On July 14 at 6:15 p.m., five shots were fired, Trump fell, and blood came from his ear. The Secret Service killed the suspect, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.
In September 2024, a second assassination attempt occurred at a golf course in Florida. The Secret Service spotted a rifle barrel in the reeds and opened fire. The suspect, 58-year-old Ryan Wesley Routh, was sentenced to life in prison.
In September 2025, New York police officer Melvin Eng infiltrated Trump's security team during the Ryder Cup, armed and in full tactical gear. Since he was on leave, an investigation was launched.
