Tokayev meets with Georgian leader
In Astana, on the sidelines of the Regional Environmental Summit, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with Mikheil Kavelashvili, reports Todayinfo.kz. The parties considered the current state and prospects of Kazakh-Georgian relations. The head of state noted that Georgia is an important and reliable partner of Kazakhstan in the South Caucasus and confirmed readiness to give new impetus to mutual cooperation. The presidents noted the intensification of cooperation and emphasized the need to increase trade and economic ties. The meeting addressed the implementation of joint infrastructure and investment projects, expansion of the business environment, and effective use of the transport and transit potential of the two countries. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Mikheil Kavelashvili exchanged views on the global and regional agenda.
