In the Otyrar district of Turkistan region, a maternal grandfather has been taken into custody on suspicion of raping his grandson, reports Todayinfo.kz news agency.
The elderly man is suspected of assaulting a second-grade boy. The child's mother filed a complaint with the police, stating, "My father raped my son."
Whether the accusations against him are true or false will be determined after the results of a special forensic examination.
Law enforcement officers have opened a criminal case and begun investigating the circumstances. Children's Ombudsman Dinara Zakieva reported that the eight-year-old boy has been placed in a special center. Psychologists are currently providing assistance to the victim.
"A criminal case has been opened regarding this incident. The victim has been temporarily placed in a 'Center for Children.' The police are currently conducting an investigation," she said.
Dinara Zakieva stated that this case is under her personal supervision.
