The Armed Forces of Ukraine are expanding their system for collecting digital evidence of war crimes from the battlefield, reports Todayinfo.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, has signed an order to expand the scope of work on collecting and processing information about possible serious violations of international humanitarian law, including digital evidence.
This was announced by Gunduz Mamedov, head of the group for collecting and processing information on violations of international humanitarian law norms of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, on his X social media account.
The Military Law Enforcement Service of the Ukrainian Armed Forces will coordinate this effort.
The initiative involves integrating algorithms for recording, storing, and processing digital information from the areas of responsibility of military units into combat systems for its subsequent use in legal proceedings.
