UN relief coordinator Tom Fletcher strongly criticized the US war on Iran during a visit to Somalia, reports Todayinfo.
According to Fletcher, residents of Mogadishu are suffering greatly due to the US-Israeli conflict 3,000 kilometers away. The diversion of resources from aid has exacerbated food shortages and worsened health conditions.
“We are witnessing the suffering of people in Somalia struggling with hunger and disease, but aid is decreasing as the world focuses on Iran,” Fletcher said.
According to the UN, over 6 million people in Somalia need humanitarian assistance, and the situation in conflict zones is deteriorating daily.
