US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran's new proposal for resolving the conflict, reports Todayinfo.

"I have reviewed the new Iranian proposal, and it is unacceptable to me," he stated in an interview with Israeli broadcaster Kan News.

Earlier, Tehran submitted a 14-point plan to Washington via Pakistan. This document was a response to an American proposal.

According to Iranian media, the US had requested a two-month ceasefire in its proposal, but Iran insists on resolving the conflict within 30 days and a complete end to the war.

In its plan, Tehran demanded guarantees of non-aggression, troop withdrawal, lifting of the blockade, unfreezing of assets, and cancellation of sanctions. It also called for reparations for damages, an end to hostilities in the region, including Israeli attacks on Lebanon, and a new operating order for the Strait of Hormuz.

Iran is ready to suspend uranium enrichment for up to 15 years but is unwilling to destroy its nuclear facilities, Al Jazeera reported, citing sources.

The US and Israel launched strikes on targets in Iran on February 28, resulting in over 3,000 deaths. On April 8, the parties announced a two-week truce. Negotiations in Islamabad yielded no results. No new reports of hostilities have emerged, but the US has imposed a blockade on Iranian ports.
