The Agency for Protection and Development of Competition conducted an investigation into Ust-Kamenogorsk Airport JSC, resulting in administrative liability for the enterprise, reports Todayinfo.
According to the agency, the airport set and maintained monopolistically high prices for retail sales of aviation fuel.
"By a first-instance court ruling, upheld by the decision of the East Kazakhstan Regional Court dated January 14, 2026, Ust-Kamenogorsk Airport JSC was brought to administrative responsibility. The enterprise was fined 8.9 million tenge, and it was also ordered to confiscate monopoly income in the amount of 10.6 million tenge to the state revenue," the agency said.
