The hospital complex with a total area of 110,000 square meters is being built on a 17-hectare site. To date, about 35% of all construction work has been completed, reports Todayinfo.kz.
The new clinic will unite more than 20 medical specialties under one roof, significantly expanding the range of services provided. The project includes 23 operating rooms equipped with modern diagnostic equipment, including three magnetic resonance imaging machines and computed tomography scanners. For the convenience of patients and staff, 42 elevators and 4 escalators will be installed inside the building.
Special attention is paid to patient comfort.
"The wards will be as comfortable as possible and close to hotel standard in terms of finishing. Each ward will have medical gas and oxygen supply systems. Moreover, 30% of the wards will be single-bed, and the rest double-bed, which meets international standards," noted the developer Ragyp Khasnbeioglu.
In parallel with the construction of the main building, the city is updating engineering networks. The akim of Kokshetau, Anuar Kumpekeev, stated that work on bringing communications is planned to be completed by the end of this year so that the infrastructure is fully ready by the time the hospital is launched.
The akim of Akmola Region, Marat Akhmetzhanov, emphasized that project funding has been allocated in full, and the facility is scheduled to be handed over on May 1 of next year. He also drew attention to the importance of open dialogue with residents on issues of current road works related to laying pipes and cables to the new hospital.
"It is important to work openly and transparently. People need to be explained in advance what work is being done and why it is needed for the city. All processes should proceed in parallel: while the building is being constructed, engineering networks to it should already be connected. Our task is to work honestly in the interests of citizens," emphasized Marat Akhmetzhanov.
The new regional hospital will become the largest medical center in the region, allowing residents to receive complex medical care at a high level without leaving Akmola Region. This is especially important for patients with chronic and severe diseases who previously had to seek treatment in capital or foreign clinics.
