10 light aircraft will be deployed to fight mosquitoes in Pavlodar region. This was reported by the regional akimat, according to Todayinfo.
The light aircraft will be delivered to the regions, distributed across districts, and will carry out aerial treatment against mosquitoes. In 2026, the total area of aerial treatment in Pavlodar region will be 172 thousand hectares. Additionally, barrier treatment in 67 settlements and river treatment along 3200 km are planned.
Special drones will be used for disinsection work in hard-to-reach areas. Their carrying capacity reaches 100 kg, and in 10 hours of operation they can cover an area of 250 hectares.
Since April 13, the main water core has been released from the Shulbinsk reservoir. The maximum water discharge was 3500 m³/s, which lasted for 8 days. Taking into account adjustments, the total volume was about 6 cubic kilometers, ensuring flooding of 80-85% of the floodplain.
Phenological monitoring of mosquito development stages is carried out in the region, and treatment effectiveness is monitored. Specialists constantly track mosquito development and work quality. 2.6 billion tenge will be spent on mosquito control.
