Two major players in the artificial intelligence sector — Anthropic, the creator of the Claude model, and OpenAI, the developer of ChatGPT — have announced the formation of separate venture companies to introduce AI services for large businesses, reports Todayinfo.
This move marks a new phase in selling AI technologies to large corporations. Both companies aim to partner with major investment funds and offer specialized solutions for corporate clients.
This implies not just providing APIs, but a deeper integration into the internal processes of each company.
Anthropic has partnered with financial giants like Blackstone and Goldman Sachs, forming a company valued at $1.5 billion. Meanwhile, OpenAI plans to raise $4 billion from investors such as TPG and Brookfield Asset Management, launching its own venture, The Development Company, estimated at $10 billion.
