Kazakhstan will introduce artificial intelligence (AI) for doctors. The system will analyze patient complaints, make preliminary diagnoses, and suggest treatment, reports Todayinfo news agency.

According to Sultan Zhumabayev, head of the Ascle project, the technology records the dialogue between a doctor and a patient, recognizes speech, and converts it into structured medical data. The system automatically fills the obtained data into the initial visit card and key sections of the medical record. Then, based on the context, it forms a preliminary diagnosis and suggests optimal treatment and prescriptions.

“We are creating an AI system for doctors that records the dialogue between a doctor and a patient, recognizes and captures speech, converting it into structured medical data. It automatically fills the obtained data into the initial visit card and key sections of the medical record. After that, based on the context of the received information, a preliminary diagnosis is formed, offering optimal treatment and prescriptions,” Zhumabayev said.

Zhumabayev noted that the final decision remains with the doctor. The system also helps reduce the time spent on paperwork.

“The solution reduces the time spent on maintaining medical documentation by 50%, allowing the doctor to devote more time to direct contact with patients, and the clinic to see more patients, improving quality and creating a personalized approach,” he added.

The project has already been tested in 38 clinics in four regions of the country. Currently, 52 doctors are using the system.
