Almaty Central City Clinical Hospital has been found guilty of serious violations in the use of medical equipment. According to the Ministry of Trade and Integration, until February 2026, the hospital operated 106 patient monitoring modules without mandatory registration, verification, and confirmation of measurement accuracy, reports Todayinfo.
An unscheduled inspection was conducted by experts from the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology. It turned out that these are critical devices that monitor heart rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen levels, ECG, and body temperature.
“Using such equipment without confirming measurement accuracy directly affects clinical decision-making and creates risks for patient safety,” the ministry's statement said.
The hospital was issued an order to eliminate the violations and bring the equipment into compliance. Additionally, the institution was held liable under Article 419 of the Administrative Code of Kazakhstan – a fine of 600 MCI (2.595 million tenge). The fine has been paid.
