Gymnasium No. 138 named after M. Bazarbayev in Almaty has opened a modern ethno-classroom 'Parasat Shanyragy' made in the form of a yurt. This is the first such project among schools in the city, reports Todayinfo.
The new educational space is not like traditional museum corners. It is a full-fledged classroom decorated in national style but equipped with modern teaching aids. The classroom features household items, handicraft samples, traditional musical instruments, as well as an interactive whiteboard.
Honored guests attended the opening ceremony: 'Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan' Ayagul Mirazova, chairman of the city trade union 'Ustaz' Serikzhan Baiguttinov, and Honored Worker of Kazakhstan Gulshara Esetova.
'The main tasks of the new classroom are to instill national values in students, introduce them to the traditions and cultural heritage of the Kazakh people, and combine upbringing and education based on ethnopedagogy,' said gymnasium director Medet Kassymbayev.
According to the plan, open lessons, educational hours, and various cognitive events will be held here. At the opening ceremony, students performed a short play dedicated to the Nauryz holiday and introduced guests to the classroom.
