According to preliminary information, a 15-year-old teenager fell from a cliff and injured his leg. Eyewitnesses called for help from rescuers.
Employees of the "Barys" Republican Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, together with the Almaty City Department of Emergency Situations' rescue service, promptly arrived at the scene.
After reaching the area of the guesthouse, they continued on foot – the ascent through the mountainous terrain took about 2.5 hours. Rescuers located the injured teenager, provided first aid, and began evacuation.
The teenager was transported down and handed over to a team from the Disaster Medicine Center. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
