In Kazakhstan, the border crossing time for trucks will be significantly reduced. Previously, this process took 4 hours, but now it will take only 30 minutes. This was announced at a government meeting by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev.

According to the minister, the agency is introducing artificial intelligence into the transport and logistics sector. Smart Cargo is a digital platform that unites government agencies and business representatives. All cargo information is available via a QR code. Artificial intelligence automatically checks documents, builds routes, tracks movement, and determines necessary permits.

“As a result, border crossing time is reduced from 4 hours to 30 minutes, an 8-fold decrease,” Sauranbayev said.

Additionally, an intelligent cargo transportation control system is being introduced in road transport. AI determines traffic routes, compares data with weight control stations, detects violations, and automatically sends signals. The time for manual document processing will be reduced from 30 days to 3 days.

A unified intelligent transport system e-Kөлік is also being developed on the basis of QazTech, which will integrate all modes of transport. The platform will enable data collection and processing, traffic flow forecasting, and automated decision-making.
