Sierra, a startup founded by OpenAI Chairman and former Salesforce CEO Bret Taylor, has raised $950 million in investment, reports Todayinfo.
This funding has pushed the company's total capital beyond $1 billion, with its market value reaching $15 billion. Sierra plans to use these funds to establish a "world standard" for AI agents that serve customers.
This development highlights the speed and cost at which large corporations are adopting AI technologies. For instance, Uber quickly exhausted its AI budget but has begun to see results: 10 percent of the company's code is written autonomously, and a year-long project was completed in six months with AI assistance.
Sierra not only offers ready-made solutions but has also launched a tool called Ghostwriter, an "agent that creates agents."
According to Bret Taylor, in the future, people will completely forgo complex corporate systems like Workday. Instead, all tasks will be performed by AI agents through natural language commands. Sierra is betting on this future.
