Military personnel of the Kazakhstani peacekeeping contingent, together with representatives of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, organized a humanitarian action as part of the UN mission on the Golan Heights, reports Orda.kz citing the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A medical aid camp was opened for local residents in the village of Trunja in Quneitra province in southwestern Syria. Special attention was paid to children, the elderly, and other socially vulnerable groups.
Military doctors examined patients, provided consultations, and distributed necessary medicines. 93 local residents underwent medical examination. The most common diagnoses were acute respiratory viral infections, musculoskeletal disorders, arterial hypertension, and diabetes mellitus.
Earlier, it was reported that peacekeepers of the third national contingent had undergone special training at the Peacekeeper training center of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan and were ready to be sent to Syria.
