Kazakhstan has begun developing unified standards for the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in schools, reports Todayinfo.

This initiative is designed to modernize the education system and prepare students for a digital future. According to the Ministry of Education, the new standards will ensure the effective and safe integration of AI tools into the learning process.

The documents being developed cover issues such as integrating AI into curricula, enhancing teacher qualifications, and ensuring the privacy and security of student data. They will also define ethical norms and principles for AI use.

The Ministry is adopting a comprehensive approach to this work, involving education experts, IT specialists, and representatives from public organizations. The goal is to foster critical thinking among students and adapt them to new technologies.

The implementation of the new standards is expected to proceed through pilot projects, the results of which will then be extended to all general education institutions.
