"Librarian – a Respected Profession"

On April 23, a festive evening titled "Librarian – a Respected Profession" was held at the Ulytau Regional Universal Library, dedicated to Librarians' Day and National Book Day. The event featured book exhibitions, a photo zone, and an awards ceremony for library staff.

"Librarian – a Respected Profession"

On April 23, a festive evening titled "Librarian – a Respected Profession" was held at the Ulytau Regional Universal Library, dedicated to Librarians' Day and National Book Day.

Within the framework of the event, book exhibitions "Read, Grow, Change," "Rare Books – National Treasure," "Flowing with Poetry" (dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Mukhanbetkali Seitkazinov), "The Noble Path of Art" (dedicated to the work of Serik Ospan), "A Person on a High Pedestal" (dedicated to the 105th anniversary of Sutengen Bukirov), as well as a photo zone "Every Book – a New Opportunity" were presented to the public.

The evening opened with an artistic composition based on the book "Librarian's Diary" by Gaziza Kudaibergen, Director of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which widely promoted the value of books and the importance of the librarian profession.

In the ceremonial part, Deputy Akim of Ulytau Region Zina Zhumanazarovna Akylbekova delivered a congratulatory speech and highlighted the role of industry specialists in society.

As part of the celebration, an awards ceremony for library staff took place. The badge "Honored Librarian of Kazakhstan" of the Kazakhstan Union of Libraries was presented to Zh. Tukenova, Deputy Head of the Ulytau Regional Universal Library. Also, badges of the industry trade union were awarded to S. Kenshimova, librarian of Baida Bi village in Zhanaarka district, and librarian B. Shegebayeva.

In addition, a number of specialists were awarded with the Letter of Appreciation of the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Certificate of Honor and Letters of Appreciation of Ulytau Region, as well as awards from the Department of Culture, Language Development and Archival Affairs.

During the event, a challenge "Book Day – Give a Book" was organized, and participants presented books to each other. Also, veterans of the industry were honored.

The evening ended with a concert program, where artists of the Ulytau Regional Philharmonic named after Taizhan Kalmaganbetov and creative teams of regional libraries gave the audience a special mood.
