The video showing a massive queue at the Kyrgyzstan border was explained by Maksat Abdyrakhmanov, head of the Main Department of Border Control of Kyrgyzstan, reports Todayinfo.

Footage taken at the border was published by the Sputnik Kyrgyzstan Telegram channel. Maksat Abdyrakhmanov clarified that the video was shot on May 1st of this year.

"It so happened that on that day, Kyrgyz travel agencies massively sent clients to Kazakhstan, which caused the queue. It dispersed within 2-3 hours as we reinforced border detachments. There is no such situation at the border now," he said.

In April this year, Tabyldy Muratbekov, a deputy of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, stated at a session of the Jogorku Kenesh about attacks on cars belonging to Kyrgyz citizens in Kazakhstan. According to the deputy, citizens of Kyrgyzstan come to Kazakhstan as tourists but face aggression.
