Lebanon and Israel extend truce for three weeks – Trump

The truce between Lebanon and Israel has been extended for three weeks. This was announced by US President Donald Trump, reports Todayinfo.kz news agency. According to the White House chief, this decision was made after a meeting with high-ranking representatives of Israel and Lebanon in the Oval Office.

"The US will work to help Lebanon defend itself from Hezbollah," Trump wrote on his Truth Social page.

He also said that he plans to host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in Washington soon. Recall that on April 16, Trump announced that Israel and Lebanon had reached a 10-day truce. Prior to that, the first bilateral negotiations between the two countries in 34 years took place at the White House.
