The event was attended by State Counselor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Karin, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture and Information Aida Balayeva, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Andrey Malyshev, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps and creative intelligentsia of both countries.
The program of the gala concert featured choreographic, instrumental, and vocal-instrumental numbers by laureate of all-Russian and international competitions Sofia Onopchenko, the Bashkir folk group "Ay Yola", holder of the honorary title "Excellence in Culture of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)" Olena Uutai, and other artists. Kalmyk folk music and Buryat folk songs were also performed. The evening included performances by the Moscow State Academic Dance Theater "Gzhel", the Honored Academic Dance Ensemble of Dagestan "Lezginka", and the State Dance Theater of Kalmykia "Oiraty".
It should be noted that the program of the Days of Culture of the Russian Federation in Kazakhstan includes meaningful events aimed at further strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. On this day, a round table "Uniting Cultural Traditions and Modern Creative Practices: Cultural Cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia" was held at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where new joint projects were discussed. In addition, the Festival of Russian Cinema in Kazakhstan started in the capital. Festival screenings will continue until April 26. The main event of the opening of the Days of Culture was the gala concert of Russian artists.
Six months ago, the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan were successfully held in Russia. As part of the event, viewers got acquainted with the exhibition "Pearls of Kazakh Art" from the funds of the A. Kasteyev National Museum of Arts, participated in the Days of Kazakh Cinema, and also watched the play "Parasat Maidany".
