Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek responded to criticism of changes in the UNT format. According to him, the changes regarding the possibility of taking the test only once will not affect the current year.
“There is no need yet. These changes have nothing to do with this year. The issue concerns the trial test. Now we have the opportunity to take the trial test twice. This allows the applicant to assess their strengths, see weak and strong points. After that, they take the main test. Therefore, the opportunity to take a trial test remains. Applicants should not worry,” the minister said in the corridors of the Mazhilis.
According to him, additional explanatory work will begin in September as part of preparation for the next testing cycle. He also noted that in the future, applicants will be offered an alternative testing format.
