Kazakh Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek warned young people that work on online platforms is temporary and advised them to enroll in universities, reports Todayinfo.
During a briefing in the Mazhilis, the minister noted that over 700,000 people are employed on platforms like Glovo, Yandex, and Wolt. However, he called this a temporary solution. 'This year, inDrive and other companies are launching autopilots. In a few years, couriers may no longer be needed,' Nurbek said.
He reminded that driverless taxis and delivery drones will soon be launched in Alatau. 'Taxi drivers are earning well now, but this is not a long-term or even medium-term income,' the minister added.
'This is a completely temporary type of employment. Technology will replace people, so it's better to get a specialty,' Sayasat Nurbek emphasized.
