Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek warned young people that work on online platforms is temporary and advised them to pursue education, reports Todayinfo news agency.
At a briefing in the Mazhilis, the minister noted that over 700,000 people work on platforms such as Glovo, Yandex, and Wolt. However, he said this is a temporary solution. 'This year, inDrive and other companies will launch autopilots. In a few years, couriers may no longer be needed,' Nurbek said.
He reminded that unmanned taxis and delivery drones will soon be launched in Alatau. 'Taxi drivers are earning well now, but this is not a long-term or even medium-term income,' the minister added.
'This is an absolutely temporary type of work. Technology will replace people, so it is important to get a profession,' said Sayasat Nurbek.
