In the East Kazakhstan region, a person offering home circumcision services has appeared. This was reported by doctors of the Mother and Child Center, reports Todayinfo news agency.
According to the center, several people have already sought help with complications – bleeding and wound suppuration. One child was hospitalized in the surgery and urology department and is currently receiving treatment.
Head of the department Kairat Rakhimzhanov noted that many parents view circumcision as a household ritual that can be performed at home. However, doctors warn that from a medical perspective, it is a full-fledged surgical operation.
“All surgical operations require full compliance with asepsis and antisepsis. The hospital has everything necessary – sterile conditions, equipment, medicines, and most importantly, a team of specialists who monitor the patient's condition at every stage,” said Kairat Rakhimzhanov.
Doctors urge parents to realize the full danger and not to experiment with their children's health. Convenience and savings in this case can lead to tragedy.
Earlier, it was reported that in Almaty, a five-year-old child was hospitalized with serious complications after circumcision in a private clinic. The boy's condition deteriorated sharply after a few days – the head of the organ turned black. Doctors diagnosed tissue necrosis and performed a second operation. The clinic has ceased operations.
