Scandal around video with toastmaster: minor's family rejects accusations

In Aktau, the trial continues regarding the distribution of an intimate video involving a well-known toastmaster performing under the pseudonym 'Khan'. The mother of the minor mobileographer involved in the case stated that her son is not involved in the theft of the recording and, according to her, became a victim of pressure.

The woman said that her 16-year-old son worked for several days on the host's filming, but never received payment for the work. In addition, the teenager, according to her, was not provided with the promised transport, and he had to get home on his own.

She claims that the video was not stolen. According to the family's version, the recording was allegedly sent by the phone owner by mistake. Relatives also say that they are being demanded 8 million tenge to drop the case and make a public apology.

'We will not apologize. For what? You need to be more careful about who you send such materials to. Now they are trying to shift all the blame onto a minor,' said the teenager's mother.

According to her, the situation has seriously affected the family: due to stress, she lost a child late in pregnancy.

The case has already been sent to court. The teenager is in 11th grade and is preparing for the UNT, the family fears for his future.

The woman also stated that she asked the police not to conduct video recording, since her son's guilt has not yet been proven. However, the next day, she claims, the recording involving them ended up on social networks.

Earlier, the Aktau police reported the detention of a suspected participant in the leak — he turned out to be a minor local resident, against whom a criminal case has been initiated. The toastmaster himself and his wife stated that the video was intended exclusively for personal use and was stored in a hidden folder on the phone, from where, according to their version, it was stolen.

The incident caused widespread public outcry and a wave of criticism against the well-known celebration host performing under the pseudonym 'Khan'.

According to the legislation of Kazakhstan, such offenses are punishable by fines of 3,000–5,000 MCI (approximately 12.9–21.6 million tenge), as well as imprisonment for up to 7 years for illegal distribution of personal data.
