A severe storm on April 26 in Pavlodar Region caused 29 roof collapses across 6 districts, reports Todayinfo news agency.
According to the regional emergency headquarters, wind gusts reached 23–28 m/s. The city of Ekibastuz was hit hardest, with 16 incidents. Damaged structures include private homes, apartment buildings, schools, hospitals, administrative offices, and retail facilities.
The storm knocked out power in 36 settlements. Currently, 1,009 subscribers in 14 localities remain without electricity. Repair and restoration work is underway.
“In Aktogay District, a partial roof collapse on a garage injured a 1985-born homeowner. She was hospitalized. In Pavlodar, a 34-year-old woman sustained a head injury after a tree branch fell on her near a house. She was taken to the city hospital,” the ambulance service reported.
No fatalities have been recorded. Emergency and utility services continue to clear the aftermath.
