Elena Rybalko, an artist from the Sochi-based KVN team 'Utyomlyonnye Solntsem,' was killed after being hit by a car in Adler, reports Todayinfo.
The artist's death was announced by the press service of the international KVN movement.
"With deep sorrow, we announce that Elena Rybalko — a bright, talented member of the 'Utyomlyonnye Solntsem' team — has tragically died. Elena's death is an irreparable loss for everyone who knew this wonderful person. In this difficult hour, we share the pain of her relatives and all who were fortunate enough to know Elena," the statement said.
According to the SHOT Telegram channel, the 53-year-old was crossing the street in an undesignated area in Adler the previous evening. The driver of a Toyota was unable to brake in time and fatally struck her.
The deceased artist's husband confirmed the tragedy and asked that their family not be disturbed during this difficult time. Rybalko was a star of 'Utyomlyonnye Solntsem' alongside Mikhail Galustyan and Aleksandr Revva, playing in the Higher League in the early 2000s. In 2003, the team became the champion.
