An illegal online casino organized by a local resident was uncovered in Shymkent. It offered Texas Hold'em poker through a mobile app. The system included gaming clubs Vendetta and AMG600L, united under the Nomad network, reports Todayinfo news agency.
The casino operated around the clock, attracting players via messengers, advertising messages, and bonus programs. Players transferred money to bank accounts, received gaming chips, and withdrew winnings to cards. The organizers charged a 3-5% commission on each game.
To conceal cash flows, accounts of fictitious individuals, including foreigners, were used. They were paid 100-200 thousand tenge for providing accounts. The total turnover exceeded 557 million tenge. During a search, drugs were also found on the organizer. Two suspects are under house arrest, and the case has been sent to court. Some players lost up to 30 million tenge.
