The opening of the Days of Russian Culture in the Republic of Kazakhstan took place in Astana, featuring a gala concert of Russian masters of arts.
Honored guests of the event included State Counselor of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Karin, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan Aida Balaeva, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Andrei Malyshev, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps and creative intelligentsia of the two countries.
The gala concert program featured choreographic, instrumental, and vocal-instrumental compositions performed by laureate of all-Russian and international competitions Sofia Onopchenko, Bashkir folk group "Ay Yola", holder of the honorary title "Excellence in Culture of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)" Olena Uutai, and others. The audience also enjoyed Kalmyk folk music and Buryat folk songs. Special highlights of the evening were performances by the Moscow State Academic Dance Theater "Gzhel", the Academic Honored Dance Ensemble of Dagestan "Lezginka", and the State Dance Theater of Kalmykia "Oirats".
It should be noted that the program of the Days of Russian Culture in Kazakhstan includes events aimed at further strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries. Thus, today a round table "Uniting Cultural Traditions and Modern Creative Practices: Cultural Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia" was held at the National Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan, where new joint projects were discussed. In addition, the Festival of Russian Cinema in Kazakhstan opened in the capital, with screenings running until April 26. The culmination of the opening of the Days of Culture was the gala concert of Russian masters of arts.
Six months ago, the Days of Kazakh Culture were successfully held in Russia. Audiences were able to see the exhibition "Masterpieces of Kazakh Art" from the collection of the A. Kasteyev National Museum of Arts, attend the Days of Kazakh Cinema, and watch the play "Parasat Maidany". The culmination of the Kazakh program was a gala concert of Kazakh masters of arts on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre – an event that took place with the participation of the Heads of State and received a wide response from the audience.
