The Ministry of Internal Affairs continues to implement the principles of 'Law and Order', reports Polisia.kz. In the second decade of April, during operational-search activities, law enforcement officers identified and suppressed two facts of illegal drug trafficking on an especially large scale.
In the Abai region, police officers, working on operational information, detained a 21-year-old driver. During an inspection of his car, more than two kilograms of hashish oil, prepared for distribution, were discovered and seized. According to the investigation, the young man acted on the instructions of a drug online store curator and was engaged in the sale of the concentrated substance.
Another fact was recorded in the capital region, where a 26-year-old woman suspected of distributing drugs through online platforms was detained. During a personal search and inspection of rented housing, she was found to have over one kilogram of the synthetic substance A-PVP, as well as electronic scales, packaging materials, and more than a hundred zip bags intended for packaging.
In total, an amount of drugs comparable to more than 45 thousand single doses was seized from illegal circulation.
Currently, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted. Law enforcement officers are establishing the supply channels of prohibited substances, their distribution schemes, as well as the sources and movement of funds related to criminal activity. The suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility.
The MIA emphasized that cutting off such distribution channels directly affects public safety and is primarily aimed at protecting young people from the drug threat. Work to identify and eliminate drug networks will continue regardless of their methods of disguise—both in the real environment and on the Internet.
