The Department of Economic Investigations for the Abai region, coordinated by the prosecutor's office, has completed the investigation into the embezzlement of budget funds allocated under the Agrobusiness program.
According to the investigation, the head of the farm 'Ykibay', using forged documents, obtained preferential loans of over 250 million tenge supposedly for the purchase of cattle. However, the funds were used for personal needs, and the cattle declared as collateral were not actually purchased.
The damage to the state amounted to 211 million tenge. During the investigation, it was fully compensated.
A written undertaking not to leave the place was chosen as a preventive measure for the suspect. The criminal case has been sent to court. Other information is not disclosed in accordance with the law.
